Katch Investment Group: one secure AI platform, and a team that can run it themselves.
An eight-week AI Enablement Programme replaced fragmented AI use across five countries with Claude Enterprise, written governance and an internal team trained to carry it forward.

Four AI tools, used privately, and no secure foundation
Katch Investment Group manages complex alternative credit strategies, including litigation finance, factoring and real estate bridge lending, across five countries and three time zones from offices in London and Panama. Most of Katch's team are senior, and most of them already using AI.
That was the problem. Everyone was using something different: ChatGPT in one team, Copilot in another, Perplexity somewhere else. Nobody was sharing what worked, and a regulated investment manager had no secure, standard foundation underneath any of it.

No shared practice, no standard foundation.

Five countries, three time zones, one platform.
Train the trainers, so the capability stays
Fifty One Degrees ran an eight-week AI Enablement Programme built on a train-the-trainers model. Fifty One Degrees designed, specified and quality-assured; Katch's internal team executed between sessions. That kept a firm-wide rollout inside a fixed price, and it is why the capability stayed at Katch when the programme ended.
Discovery started with 20 individual 30-minute interviews, one per person. The interviews surfaced processes nobody had ever documented, showed that self-reported AI fluency was unreliable (so training cohorts were set on observed capability), and produced a 30-item opportunity map, prioritised directly with senior leadership rather than handed over as a report.
Five workstreams, delivered in parallel
Claude Enterprise migration and configuration
Tenant configuration, SSO, data security controls and role-based access tiers across all locations, implemented by Katch's IT partner and approved by Fifty One Degrees before go-live.
Projects and Skills Framework
Dedicated workspaces for litigation finance deal assessment, investor relations, fund reporting, due diligence and counterparty analysis, each backed by a library of reusable skills.
Data connectivity and governance
A connectivity plan for Katch's data sources, plus an AI Acceptable Use Policy, data classification framework and access controls built for a multi-jurisdictional regulated operation.
Cohort training in three tiers
Foundations and Advanced for all staff, and Building with Claude for technical users, covering agents, retrieval, MCP connectors and structured output.
A pioneer cohort
A group onboarded ahead of full rollout to stress-test the setup, find real use cases in live work and act as internal proof points for colleagues.
What the programme delivered
Katch moved from four AI tools used privately to one platform used in the open, with governance written before rollout rather than after it. Three decisions did most of the work, and Fifty One Degrees now applies all three as standard:
Built on the foundation
Investor targeting automation and a portfolio management tool were held back and scoped separately once the foundation was proven.
What did Fifty One Degrees deliver for Katch Investment Group?
An eight-week AI Enablement Programme that replaced fragmented AI use across five countries with Claude Enterprise, written governance and an internal team trained to carry it forward. It covered Claude Enterprise migration, a Projects and Skills Framework, data connectivity and governance, cohort training in three tiers and a pioneer cohort.
How long did the AI Enablement Programme take?
Eight weeks from discovery to firm-wide rollout. Fifty One Degrees designed, specified and quality-assured each stage, and Katch's internal team executed between sessions, which kept the rollout inside a fixed price.
How did Fifty One Degrees run discovery?
With 20 individual 30-minute interviews, one per person, after an email survey produced almost nothing useful. The interviews surfaced undocumented processes, showed that self-reported AI fluency was unreliable, and produced a 30-item opportunity map prioritised with senior leadership.
How was governance handled in a regulated investment manager?
Inside the rollout, not alongside it. Katch received an AI Acceptable Use Policy, a data classification framework and access controls built for a multi-jurisdictional regulated operation. Running the policy inside the programme cleared the large majority of compliance objections before they became blockers.
